Heat-pressed prints are tough, but a few habits make the difference between a hoodie that looks new after a year and one that looks tired after a month.
The short version
- Wait 24 hours before the first wash so the adhesive fully settles.
- Turn it inside out so the print doesn’t rub against other clothes.
- Wash cold (30°C / 86°F or below) on a gentle cycle.
- Skip bleach and fabric softener — both break down the print over time.
- Hang to dry, or tumble on low heat.
Ironing
Never put an iron directly on the print. If you need to iron, turn the garment inside out or lay a cotton cloth over the design and use a low setting.
If an edge lifts
It is rare, but if a corner of the print starts to lift, place baking paper over it and press firmly with a warm iron for 10–15 seconds. If that doesn’t fix it, get in touch — we would rather sort it out than have you live with it.
Inside out, cold wash, no softener. That’s 90% of it.
